New member introduction

Hello to all. We are Jim Whiting and Pattie Porter, husband and wife, and live in Sun City, AZ. Last year we purchased a 1999 Magna, our first RV, and of course we love it. We are high-school teachers with pugs and wanted to spend our days off with our dogs. Our first summer in CA was fantastic, and we have found a lifestyle that is both enjoyable and restful. I do have one question (I'm sure the first of many). I want to add a tire pressure/heat monitoring system and would appreciate any recommendations. I have just started researching on the web, and it looks like Pressure Pro is a good system with a lot of solid reviews.

Thanks for reading our post!

Jim & Pattie,

I am using Pressure Pro and very pleased with it and service response but there are many choices and I'm sure some very good ones. Pressure Pro has been in business a long time.

Welcome to the forum, Jim and Pattie. I was a high school counselor and it was my job to straighten out everybody's teenager. I tell people that is why I look like I do today:)
My choice on a pressure/temp monitoring system is TST Systems http://www.tsttruck.com/Product_List.html though I am yet to install one. I like the fact that it has replaceable batteries and is used in the trucking industry.
You will find a lot of help on this forum, so ask away and welcome again.

We've been looking at tire pressure monitoring systems. Leaning toward the TireSafeGuard for one specific reason.

We have not had great luck with valve extenders and TireSafeGuard has flow through sensors that we would use on the inside duals. My air chuck and pressure gauge chuck protrudes through the outside dual and connects to the inside dual. Will do more investigation prior to purchasing but want to procure soon, probably when we get to Las Vegas later this year (and early next).

Don't know much about tire pressure monitors, but I also bought a used 99' Magna and wanted to welcome you to the club :-) Mine is a 40' Fanfare floorplan with 1 living room side. I bought it 2 years ago and it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. Took a little while to work through the issues, but I guess it's also the best way learn about the coach. It's been fun upgrading the 90's era motorhome to some of the more modern amenities. I spend a lot of time in both CA and AZ. Maybe our paths will cross someday. Good travels to you and Pattie.

Hi Jerry and Louise,

We were very interested in your email below and wondered if you'd tell us various places in Utah you've enjoyed for touring and golf. Those are the two things we like to do too!

Thank you.

Hi Jim

Welcome to the group... I'm sure Pressure Pro is a good system. An RV friend who is very techy recommended the Hawkshead TALON TPMS to me and I went ahead and bought it:

It works very well. I'm sure other members have their own particular favorites
