new front tires

Thinking about switching my front toyos for michelin xza3s. It seems to be the popular tire but is an upgraded model. Have any of you heard any negatives about the xza series and any thoughts specific to the third generation.
Thanks

Rod

I switched my six Toyos to XZA3+. Great, great tires! No more wandering.
My LF Toyo blew at 60 mph on the interstate. Don't want to go there again.

we put 8 new XZA-2 Energy michellins on our coach recently and I really don't think you can do better. Not sure about differences between 3 and 2... check with a michellin dealer

I replaced all 6 of my tires(toyos in the rear and Goodyear G670's front) and put all Hankook AH12's. Couldn't be happier. They were about $300 per tire cheaper than Michelin's I can't see paying more $$$ just because of a name. Hankook may not have the name recognition like Michelin but they get the job done nicely. They are also becoming more and more well known and are delivering a good product.

Neither Hankook or Toyo make an RV specific tire. ALL truck tires should be less than an RV specific tire. Lower production numbers for RV tires makes the cost to produce higher. You bought a truck tire. It is not possible to compare, other than cost, the differences in the 2 tires.

All I know is that I'm getting a nice smooth ride on good rubber. If these tires can handle what a truck would do to them then they are sure good enough for what my coach will do. I had Goodyear G670 RV tires on the front and they were terrible. Theese Hankook tires may not be top of the line but they are a huge imptovement over what I had. And I did it for a fraction of the cost of the Michelin's . They'll move me down the road just as well as your Michelins

Hi Friends, On our older Allure last summer I put on six Hercules tires China Made and they look like Mich's and are steer tires and coach rides now like on Air Quit and no road noise, Lowerd pressure to 105 psi. all six and temps are around 30 degrees cooler then the old Goodyear G-670's the Goodyears were 2005 and cupping was so bad lost side treads completly BALD. The new tires with 4 thousand miles so far show even wear, No cuppinng. Our older coach has a front straight axle. Hancock's BTW are good tires that are used on School Buses. My Plan was Les Schwab in Eugene Or. and quoted Contenetals four at 2100.00 dollars but My Goodyears were comming apart in Utah! Happy with the Hercules Google them they are a Global Tires. Since I part time no need for anything else. Ken 99 Allure 30356.

Thought you might want to know

Hercules recalling China-made heavy-duty steer tires Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. is recalling 1,222 H502 radial medium tubeless truck tires, size 315/80R22.5,Load Range J, produced in DOT week-ending dates 5211 through 2112 (Dec. 26, 2011 to May 27, 2012).
The affected tires may have been made with an insufficient tire liner gauge due to an improperly working machine at Sailun Tire Corp. in Qingdao, China, their point of origin. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the presence of this condition may precipitate the formation of voids (U crack) which could result in early life sidewall separations.
Owners may contact Findlay, Ohio based Hercules toll-free at (800) 677-3573.

A truck does not operate in the same environment as a typical RV which may sit for months at a time. They even make different tires for long haul trucks and regional trucks.
