Air in Hot Water Sys?

Yahoo Message Number: 85177
Hi all,

I have a 2000 Allure with an Atwood LP/electric water heater. It was winterized in mid Oct by draining and blowing out the fresh water system. We headed south after Christmas and have been in the coach since then. So, the water system has been in use for a month. However, we still get short bursts of air out of the hot water from time to time. Not significant burst of air, but bursts all the same and only from the hot water side. The water pump is not cycling; so I don't think there is a leak. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Thx,
Brian

Brian,

Did not see any responses to your post so will give it a try. The hot water tank should have been empty after winterizing. When refilling with water, there is going to be a big air bubble in the tank and also in the hot water lines. If you are not showering in the coach, it is going to take a while to purge the whole system. If you are showering in the coach, all bets are off as the first shower will purge the lines. If that is the case, do not have a clue.
This post reminds me though that I need to redo the air space in my tank.

Thx Bill, but we've using the shower regularly. Still a mystery.
