2002 Intrigue Battery Cables

Yahoo Message Number: 85768
Does anyone have a 2002 CC Intrigue who can take a picture of your battery cable connections and send to me?
We removed our batteries for cleaning, and thought we had them all properly labeled for reconnecting. However, one of the positive connections is arcing when connecting so something is amiss.
I'm not sure how to post my own picture here to show you what we have, but I cannot find an image/diagram online.

Thanks

The last connection you should make is to the ground side not the positive side. It is not unusual for there to be an arc even when connecting the final ground connector.

I suggest that you do the following:

Turn off the inverter/charger breaker
Turn off the house and chassis main switches as I don't know which you are working on.

Connect the red cables to positive
Then connect the black negative/ground cables. There will be a small arc
This assumes that all your cables are marked by color as appropriate.

Good luck.

Even with everything disconnected as suggested you will receive a good size POP and a small arc when energizing the charger from the 12 volt side. If you had a direct short circuit with the power available from the house batteries you would have more of an explosion than just a spark. Believe me you will know the difference!
You didn't say what type of house batteries you have but I have a couple of links with diagrams for your use;

Hope this helps,
