Wood flooring on a slideout

If anyone is contemplating changing out their flooring and getting rid of the old carpet check out the photos in the photo albums. I can help anyone thru this process. It takes a bit of time and research, but it is a doable project. Ernie Ekberg

I have a 92 magna. We have Walnut in the cabinets, but oak flooring in the kitchen area. Due to a refer leak we have some buckled flooring. I have a friend that does hardwood flooring, but is not sure what to use. I understand that the floors were glued down. I have been told that the floor is approx 1/4" thick, but not sure.

I woudl be interested in knowing what you have done.

Larry, I have had to remove original wood flooring. The manufacturer, did glue it down. The subfloor will sustain some damage and can be repaired with Durhams Rock hard water putty. I then added new wood, which is engineered from 3/8 to 9/16ths thick and adhering that with premium urethane adhesive. I use the best adhesive as the material stays put. Hope this helps, Ernie Ekberg
