Microwave/Convection oven for '99 Magna

Have any of you had to replace your microwave/convection oven? Since we have a '99 Magna the Sharp model that we have, which no longer works, no longer is made. We have been to Lowes and found that finding the exact dimensions will be difficult. If we find the appropriate width and length, the depth is not, which then we are not sure if the mounts will be in the correct/same positions as what we need.

Any suggestions that may help our search is greatly appreciated.

Depending on what is wrong with your oven, it might be easier to repair than replace?
Our 1997 GE Micro/Conv in the S&B would not operate. I found some repair steps on the internet that included replacing a micro switch. I replaced that switch for $10 and it has been working for 5 years since.
I do not know if this is possible on your Sharp but might be worth a look.

I agree with Dean...We have the same Micro in the home as the Coach.
The one in the home stopped working one day and we got it repaired. It was a cracked "Magnet" inside. It took 2 trips by the repair person but it has worked great since. Yes, it might cost about the same to get it repaired as being replaced, but you do not need to worry it not fitting or needing to alter the coach to replace it....just a thought

I fried ours by plugging the coach into a bad 50 amp receptacle.
Replaced it with this from Home Depot, could not find part number but use UPC code. It fit almost perfect, and cooks a mean frozen pizza!! I was told this was the replacement to the one I fried.
They had some units on line refurbished for less and also stainless steel.

Let us know what you find. I have the same oven and will probably face the same fate someday soon.

We have a 98 Intigue I did not like the Sharp so we saw that Country Coach was installing GE Profile Adventium Ovens in the newer coaches so we bought one installed it together no problems with fitting it in where the Sharp was. Have had it installed for 6 years works great and I love it.

Our bus came standard with GE's Advantium oven. We've used the oven regularly for almost 5 years and it's still working. Cooks good too.
Temperature and cooks times need adjustment for baking. So I've found with pies and cakes. Some of its routine maintenance items could have been designed better given GE's experience with appliances IMHO.
Information about my experience with that is here: http://www.muniac.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=125#Post125 Consumer products are known to change like the weather making reviews and stability of recommendations difficult. I'd wager a fair bet my Advantium oven has been discontinued and/or replaced with that new model. Good luck finding a new oven. Let us all know what you decide on and follow up in a couple of years with impressions.
