Chassis a/c inop

My chassis a/c is not putting out cold air due to the fact that the clutch at the compressor is not engaging.I checked all fuses and they are good but there is still no voltage at the clutch. The manual indicates that the path for the voltage goes from the fuse to a a/c relay to the clutch. Does anyone know where this relay could be located and what it might look like? If your 134a is low the clutch may not operate.

My dash AC relay is in the forward driver side compartment near the fuse. It is a typical Bosch type automotive relay and interconnects with the condenser fans also. I just followed the numbered wire to the relay from the fuse.
When I had a similar problem I bypassed the relay with a cheater wire to get voltage to the compressor and clutch to see if all was working.
If you disconnect the 12v wire at the clutch, take an ohms reading by connecting to the clutch wire and the mount ears of the compressor.
I believe it should be about 3 ohms if the clutch is good. In my case it was not, but mine was blowing the fuse also which is not your problem.

I was advised this stoppage is a safety feature of the system to prevent destroying the compressorl, it turns off when freon gets too low and will not turn on until freon is added. It worked for me when I had a pound of freon added - mine started working again. Regards & Safe traveling
