Tires Again

I read a month or so ago that 315/80>22.5. fit on I think it was Dan's 40 ft. tag. Allure #313>>. My question is we have CC # 31313 40ft. tag. also. I'm riding on 295 / 75 R. 22.5 > TOYO's my wheels are ACCURIDE 22.5 x 8.25 dot T wheels ( 28615 AIP ). I going back to Michelin's & would like to do the bigger tire, has anybody done this up grade with all around clearance etc. Your thoughts one more time. Jack & Bev. CC# 31313 Allure Tag (2006)

I did put new Michelin 315/80/r22.5 XZA3's on my Allure just about 60 days ago,

I have the exact same rim that you do, Accuride 28615 AIP. The 315's fit perfect, plenty of clearance with the body and the dual spacing is more than adequate. They don't need any additional spacers or addons. I would not hesitate to buy the same size again.

My post has the details on using 315's on 8.25" rims. It has a pdf document from the Tire and Rim association that approves this use.

One thing I would recommend doing at the same time as tires is evaluating your tire pressure monitoring system. I just assumed the sensors were OK and they were not. I had the Smartire orange sensors and 3 of them were bad. The updated sensor is now yellow. I just bought 8 of them last week for $59.00 each. Smartire yellow sensors So now I have to pay for a unmount/mount to install them.

I also used dynabeads instead of lead weights.

Thank You Dan on your feed back, I thought it was you on the 315/80 I'll be getting my pricing together in the next few. I'll let you no my pricing. I've been buying Mich.wholesale for the past 20 yrs. or so on our Beaver Marquis. This was my first shot at TOYO's and I have to say 25k miles later there great> no cracks, wear straight all the way around. Never lost more then 2/3 lbs on any one of them. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody, I do run them at 105 psi. all around, just got that 5 year time zone to take them off.

Go out and buy you a lotto ticket because you must be very lucky to have been able to get 25,000 miles out of those TOYOs. Many people like me have had very BAD luck with TOYOs..

Just say no to TOYOs

The secret to a Toyo is keeping it inflated to the maximum recommended pressure for the wheel its mounted to and keep it covered while stationary. This keeps the temps down and prevents sun damage. Out of three sets I have had at least one failed prematurely. Three 275R70's separated but I caught them in time after being stored for winter. 12R's the lands of the tires would recede after a time, so that's when I switched. Continentals were installed, 275R80 to replace the 275R70, Michelin XZ2 12R to replace the toyos and Continental HSL1 315R's to replace the Michelins that cracked..
