Alternator for C9

The Leece Neville alternator on my 2005 Inspire 51394 with a C9 has gone bad. It has two numbers on it. A model number of LBP2180 and a sales no. of 110-912. Delco Remy has a cross reference of 8600889. Finditparts.com lists the Leece at $312 and the Delco at $189.
From other posts I have seen a preference for the Delco unit and I am inclined to order it provided it is the correct number.
Can anyone confirm that 8600889 is a perfect match? Bob Cole
