Fresh water fill alarm

I have the seelevel panel with sensors on the tank, on several occasions I have been distracted and the tank has overfilled, with mains pressure I am sure that this has caused the tank to bulge as a result. Has anyone any idea how to wire in an alarm to advise when the 100% is reached. I could put a switch in the circuit to only enable it when filling.

Can not help with a built in alarm, that would be nice. Was filling the tank once and a neighbor came over and I forgot to pay attention to the filling process and after a while we standing in running water. Now I carry a timer in my pocket that is set for 3 minutes. When it goes off, I check the water level and reset for 3 more minutes. That procedure has worked good for the past 13 years. Good luck with finding an alarm system.

Most of the bus conversion's Marathon built have an "Auto fill"? feature, as well as other manufactures. Seen many different ways for the sensor, the simplest is the screw going thru at the top and on the side (screw - normally a rubber bushing/grommet with a insert in it for a machine screw like a 8-32, this piece has a name but I'm drawing a blank ? ? when you insert the rubber and tighten it down it squeezes the rubber into the hole making it water tight - - same as lots of standard sensors for tank level that was done for years) anyway when the water makes contact with both screws it completes the circuit and shuts off a valve. Fairly easy to build / design and install.

Jim, I think its called a well nut. Of course the Magna's come with automatic water fill shutoff. It never overflows but is always not quite full.

Jim, sounds a plan but I do not fancy trying to retro fit screws into the tank installed in the coach. I was hoping for a solution to pick up from the Seelevel. I have emailed them so will see what they suggest. My Allure does not have auto cut off.

On my previous coach, I mounted a second See Level display panel in my plumbing bay so I could watch the water level when filling it. It worked well but obviously does not prevent overfilling if you don't keep an eye on it.

I have had to repair my automatic water fill shutoff PC board.
When the water fill switch is turned on it also turns on the console tank level monitor.
I will manually turn on the water pump as that seems to fill faster.
The relay turns off the water pump solenoid and the water fill solenoid when the tank level monitor at the console reads full.
I had help in doing the board repair, as I know only enough to be dangerous around PCB components and a soldering iron. But the above concepts might help you create a solution for your situation.
One of the guys on RV.net, who were helping me diagnose the board, created a schematic for that board from my pictures and wiring diagram. So I have that to share. (There were no schematics in the coach manual for the proprietary PC boards in the overhead console.)
