A Leveling Question

When storing your coach, do you level it or just park it leaving all weight on the suspension and tires? Thanks for your responses in advance, RJ

I have a 2004 inspire I've had for 3 years. I have always just parked it on a concrete pad under a shed and do not level it. I had an older coach for 11 years and did the same with it. Never saw any ill effects from it.

When storing over winter - I jack the vehicle and put blocks under the sub-frame / chassis front and back and tag to take the vast majority of weight off the tyres - I 'dump' the air suspension such that the body then rests on the 'bump stops' - effectively a 'solid' storage
I protect the tyres from the concrete floor by 'old' bits of carpet underneath them

If you do level it, and no reason not too, you will most likely need to leave the battery on to allow the coach to check and re-level from the gradual settling that may occur. So, this means it would need to be plugged into at least a 15/20AMP outlet.
When parked beside our house, I actually first level, then raise the front a bit more then the rear. This helps keep the windshield freer of the white streaks from the roof. Or, liked to think so... (We did just have Bus-kote put on the roof, so we'll see if that reduces the white streaks in general. And yes, I waxed the roof every six month sometimes a few times in between. I also used either Zaino or Aerospace 303 UV protection over the wax. And the regular cleaning/waxing/UV protection really cut down on the white streaks).
As far as load on the tires and suspensions, unless way out of level, the leveling will not help reduce load on these at al from my point of view. If the coach is way out of level, then this could shift more weight to one side, and who knows that might tweak things some. I suspect much less of a chance with air bags vs non airbag coaches.
And all of my comments were for air leveling systems only. If the coach has legs/feet that level, then yes I think it is a good idea to take some load off of the tires and the suspension. We did this for 5-6 years with our Bounder. Just be sure to do extra cleaning and protection on the piston rams. We live near the salt water, so with the Bounder I did the maintenance on the levelers every three months.
And, also with non airbag leveling, I did turn off the main battery switch when parked/stored.
