Front air conditioner leaking into roof interior

Hi all, Getting a water spot on ceiling when air is running. Drips inside occasionally too. Does NOT happen with rain. I removed interior cover - seems it is sweating, building up condensation and then soaking the interior roof in one area. I just cannot find exactly where on the a/c that the water is collecting and running into the ceiling but I do see a lot of condensation and moisture overall. Any suggestions for repair? There should be a drain tube somewhere, they used to drain onto the roof and make a mess now they have a tube attached and drain below. Either the drain hole is clogged or tube is off.

Ours did that and it turned out to be cracked AC drip pans. Dometic had a bad run on drip pans back then. The dealer changed the drip pans and all was well after that.

Steve- Although ours is an Inspire - not an Intrigue- we had a similar issue and found A/C has a rooftop condensation reservoir with a float /level actuated pump that discards the condensation overboard through tubing. Our pump was inoperative and the condensation line was obstructed, causing reservoir to fill and overflow into cabin. Replaced pump and cleared the line with forced air. No more leak into coach.

Thanks to all for the replies and suggestions. The a/c units on my coach drain the condensation from the drip pans onto the rooftop - there are no tubes leading down to the wheel wells that I am aware of. I plan to check the drip pan tubes to be sure they are not clogged. If the drip pan is cracked can they be repaired or is it not cost effective to tear down the a/c unit to get to the pan?

Hi Steve, I had a simular problem on my 03 Intrigue (it does have internal drain line) the pan that collects the condensation had a crack that allowed the water to enter the unit and drip onto the floor.
To replace the pan was a very labor intense job, so I poured some radiator leak stop into the pan and it filled in the crack and to leaking stopped.

What years Inspire? Ours is a 2005. Been on our roof several time and cannot fine any type of drain. Apears the condensation just runs onto the roof. Last week after a light rain we had a leak at the forward a/c unit. I have tilted our coach a little to the left and the leak has stopped. Has anyone used the gutters sold at places like camping world, and are they effective? Tom

I have a 2006 Inspire and it has drains for condensation on both AC.

Yes I have the stick on gutters over drivers side window and the wind shield and they work great.

A quick update on my a/c problem. I blew out the drain lines (tubes) to be sure they were working properly and I also noticed the 4 mounting bolts on the a/c unit were fairly loose. I snugged them down a bit and so far no more leaking.....time will tell if it is a cracked pan or something else, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the problem is resolved. Thanks to all for your responses and suggestions!
