Me and my wife always loved cc from a far. We just bought one as u can see from the post . We just took it out and we are having a tough time. We have 2 major issue. First is the hurricane xl45 heat hot water. Cant get it to fire. Is putting out a code. 5 combustion fan and code 2. Blown fuse, code 2 was fixed with ease. Open the box and replaced 10 amp blown fuse. But still won't fire. It blows cold out pipe but no because code 5. Next major problem is the hwh leveling system . Again worked when we picked it up . Old style system with green level light but no level button. Once we had it perfect. Then it was to low. Bottomed our. Then we thought we got it right but was to hard and beat the hell out of us . Now it seems the rear won't manually work anymore . Why would anyone do this to themselves. If anyone has similar coach , for the love of god please tell me how you set yours up to drive. Think this might have been a mistake, but have not givin up yet..

Just want you to know that we had similar problems when we purchased our 2002 Intrique 12 months ago. Heater did not work properly and leveling system had an attitude also. Sometimes it would work sometimes not. We took our coach to the new country coach in Junction City and they relieved me in excess of ten grand yet left the problems intact. My suggestion is not to give up and call the manufacture's dealer for hurricane and talk to them. If you are near Vancouver WA , go there and they will get the heater fixed correctly. The leveling system manufacturer is in Iowa. Read your manual for phone numbers. These are good rigs once you get thing working. Be prepared to spend some money , and it will get better. On the Hydro Hot, join Roger Berke's board, and post your problems their. I don't recall those error codes, but I will ask when was the last time the unit had regular service. (Filter, tip, and flue cleaning.).

On the leveling system. I agree with calling the manufacturer and talking thru what you are seeing. Could be as simple as some dirty ground wires needing cleaning, or a leveler gauge with a loose rod. Or of course, and sorry, more complex/expensive.

If you bought this coach because you liked the interior layout, and felt it was a good fit for you. Then stick with it, they're a solid well built coach, and provide a great foundation to work off of and make them 'your coach'.

Hope things work out without too much of a hit, and that the good times start rolling! Best,
Smitty

On youf Hurricane heater, it sounds like you might need a combustion fan. Mine weng out too a couple years ago and it wasn't that hard to change out. You would want to verify its failure though and you might che k to see if it's getting 12 volts to the fan motor. If you take off the long sides panel, the combustion fan is a black plastic squirrel-cage like device on the right side, maybe a third bigger than your fist. Try putting 12 volts to the motor to see if it turns. Or, check fof 12 volts at the motor when trying to start the Hurricane unit. ITR can guide you through this, or you can send me a private email and we can connect over the phone if you like.

Thank you, I love the coach. More then the lay out. I wanted a good chassis. Quality built unit, that would last. I did get hydro to work . I was not turning on the inside unit first , I've owned a few rv is my day. Heard about hurricane , first time playing with it . I'm in Florida now 32 degrees rear but cold. I'm very comfortable inside my cc with it holding. 73 degrees. Becoming a fan of hurricane . Not using the heat pump. Giving her true test, Need tires. Going to search for a deal.. Thinking mich, or cont brand... Thanks again Bob 03 allure tag/ #30814

For tires, we chose B F Goodrich ST230's and bought them from Pat at Pro Tire in Denton TX. He has put tires on CC's and Prevosts for years. He came to our RV park in TX, removed the old tires, mounted the new ones, laser aligned the coach, set the toe in and checked the ride height. Very professional. B F Goodrich tires are owned by Michelin and they are made in America. If you want Pat's number, let us know.

Bob,

Creative Coach in Lakeland fixed my hurricane furnace and a few other issues. Some folks also go to Fountain RV which is in Lakeland, you can find their contact information by doing a google search.

The coach will not level if you are parked on too much slope.
To level mine, coach in neutral, parking brake on, engine running, push air button twice and it will start the leveling process. Once the process starts ( you will see 'leveling' green indicator on dash), you can shut off the engine if you like and it will continue to level. Once level, the red LED over the air button will go out and barely blink.
When you are ready to travel, start coach and push the 'Travel Mode' button. Coach should air up or down, depending on how it was when leveling, and Travel Mode green light will come on. Now, at times, I have to dump all my air and let the suspension settle before I push the Travel Mode button to get the front to air up to travel height. Not sure why but it always works when I dump air first.
If you are in or near Florida, Butch Williams is service manager at Fountain RV in Lakeland/Plant City. Butch is former CC employee and knows CC's. You might want to check with them for service.
As already noted, if you are near Moscow, Iowa, HWH Corporation made the air leveling system for the coach and they have a service center.
