Water softener?

I am curious how many of you who travel a lot use a portable water softener. If you do, which do you recommend for overall convenience, durability?

Thanks. That is the one I am seeing most of.
Do you use the smaller one (8000) or what they call the Double Charge?

Smaller one. I usually can run around 250-300 gallons water.

I bought an on-the-go water softener from camping world and have been quoite happy with it. I did a pretty trick installation so all I have to do when I pull into a park is connected my water hose to the park spigot and the softener is immediately inline. I also have a simple set of connectors to perform the normal regular back flushing and using the air hose to blow it out which is the best bet before adding more salt.
