Replaced my floor with bamboo worked well in northwest but since moving to arizona some shrinkage has occurred. It is a floating floor except where the front seats bolt thru the floor and that is the area where a gap has happen. Will loosen the seat to see if the gap will close. My point is that not sure if a floating floor is a good plan or not. Good luck. Mike # 11422 2002 Intrique

Engineered wood, adhered with urethane adhesive is the best product to enhance your coach. I put maple in our coach. Ernie Ekberg

We went with engineered hardwood. Easier to keep clean. Looks great! Did the "glue down". Bunch of flooring out there, do your homework. Need to consider hardness and uv. You kinda get what you pay for! We've seen a bunch of "crappy" jobs.

I don't believe in using laminate or engineered hardwood as it can warp or buckle if a water issue arises. The other part is afterwards (the water issue) it's much harder to do a quality repair, as most of these products are tongue & groove. We have found that Luxury Vinyl in either plank or tile is a much better product. It is usually more money per square foot, but much quicker to install. It is a glued down product, and being individual pieces IF a failure does happen it's very easy to replace the damaged pieces.
There are many different manufactures of the product now, I recommend using one with the thickest wear layer (.7mm) and overall thickness of 1/8"?. Karndean makes a great product.

Laminate is plastic combined with HDF- that can cause trouble.
Engineered wood, adhered with urethane adhesive is dimensionally stable and has proven itself over the years. This statement is from 42+ years in flooring. Ernie Ekberg
