The thread rod is a linkage between the ride height valve control arm and a fixed point on the chassis. It is this linkage that needs to be adjusted either longer to increase the ride height, or shorter to reduce height. I just repaired/replaced mine with about $25 in parts and a small amount of my labor. Jack stands and knowledge are need to safely work on the air system under your coach so I recommend that you have a truck place do the work. Should be 1 hour of labor or so.
