Splendide water leak and valve access

Our Splendide 2000 WD802M tends to partially fill with water after a few days. Talking to the manufacturer, they related one of the water valves is bad, and to determine which one I needed to shut one off for 24 hours to see which is leaking. Here is my dilemma...I have a 2002 36' Intrigue. The WD is located in the hall next to the shower, above the hot water heater. Does anyone know of any way to access the valves other than disassembling the cabinet and pulling the machine part way out?

I assume you have a cabinet over the W/D?? Hopefully you do. You may need a small step ladder to reach the very back of the cabinet. There should be a lift out panel in the rear just ahead of the wall. With a light, you should be able to see the valves. If there is no cabinet above, how do you clean the vent filter?? That could be another clue to the valve access. Some machines vented into the gray water tank, but I do not think that is the case with you.

Thanks Fred. There is a cabinet above. We have checked the filter, but did not look for valve access there. Guess I'll have to boost the wife up there for some adventure...doubt I'll fit and be able to see anything.

Ron,

Someone actually has to get partially into the cabinet, pull the panel up and the valves are down some fastened to the wall. They are conventional turn style valves, hot on left, cold on right. If you pull the machine, which I had to do to fix a leak, I changed the valves to ball valves. The ball valves are easier to operate, last a lifetime and do not leak. Good Luck.

Which valves are you referring to, those in the washer? If so, then I would go under the premise that if one is leaking, the other one will do so shortly. I would pull the washer and replace both. Not much more time or money to do both and not having to worry about it later.
Not sure how the 36 is put together but you should not have to do anything other than remove the doors, remove the bottom wood piece(a couple of screws), remove the door latches, and remove the front part of the drip pan and pull it out. The front of the drip pan is held down with some screws and sealant
