Do any of you have any words of wisdom regarding a nice campground in the vicinity of Lake Tahoe? We are considering going there in September if there is a nice place.
Many thanks.

You might try Tahoe valley campground.lots of sites, but if you want satellite it might be iffy As are all site in Tahoe. Also camp Richardson and the state campground just across from the lake.

WE stayed at tahoe valley last week. Very dusty, sat would not get by the trees. Park was full by sunset, very crowded. There are not many opinions for 40' coaches. Employees were very friendly. This is high season in Tahoe, we were just happy getting a space. Paid in the $50 area.

We spent a week at Tahoe Valley in July, we are TTN members so we stayed free. Very full then during weekends, many of the sites were good sized for a comercial campground. Some areas were dusty big time others were better.
One if you are sensitive to noise the local hospital is right behind the park with a helo pad that can get busy during the weekend.

Coachland RV park in Truckee is another good choice. About 13 miles from North shore area. Also there is a park at Zepher Cove I have seen big rigs parked.
