On the side of the road in SC since engine warning and shut down engine light came on, then motor died. Silverleaf indicates fault 100 97 1, low oil pressure. Good Sam roadside called. Any ideas?

Sorry to hear this Ron, Good Sam couldn'd find a truck large enough to tow me in NM. Still have oil on the dip stick? No signs of oil leaking out anywhere? Hope it is just a reset issue and you can be on your way.. My Allure is still in Santa fe waiting on a new transmission. (3weeks now)..

Oil on the dip stick, a tad low though. No sign of any leakage.

What is the issue? Low oil pressure? I do not see a problem explained in the post.

We did finally get a mobile truck mechanic to show up withhis laptop so he could plug into the port under the dash. With that program he was able to go right to the transmission. See if good sam can send a mechanic out to check it out..

I don't recall your engine type, If it is a CAT, what was the oil pressure on the dash gauge. if it registered normal oil pressure and the Silverleaf registered near 0 psi, replace the Cat oil sending unit. I don't know if the Cummins has 2 oil sending units.

Low oil pressure yes Mikee. They said no mobile tech with the warning lights I got. GS wanted to tow me to a place near me. I called them and they can't work on Cummins. Found a Cummins RV specialist place near Columbia that was in my owners manual. Called GS back and they switched it all, so will be about a two hour tow once the guy gets here. He was two hours away.

`Your title says stuck on the side of the road, but no where have I seen a reason. Will the coach start, not go into gear? If so does the shift panel light up? What does it indicate?

What is the oil pressure reading? Is that on the dash? Do you have silverleaf? If so what does it say?

Ron,

Where are you in SC? I am near Charlotte NC. I know a great mechanic, in this area. If you are near me and help bring food supplies housing what ever your needs.

Thanks all much, and Bob (responded to you in another email) for the offer! Great group and people!! We got towed by Fleet Towing out of Gaston to Cummins Atlantic in Columbia. Had 30 Amp hook ups last night. Got us right in this morning and currently diagnosing. Initial observation is a potential oil filter failure of some type. Hope to be under way soon. Thanks again all!!
