98 Magna alternator problem?

The Moho has a hard time starting takes a dozen tries. The speach processer says alatenator not engaging. Tecs can't find problem and no codes.

On my rig with a Cummins mechanical that could be air in the system or no fuel. If so fresh filters would be good. Cut the old ones apart to see if fuel is clean.
Hard to start could be the mechanical lift pump, if your cat has one. Or it could be the injection pump.
Air and fuel and compression are the components for starting the engine unless you have an electrical fuel lift pump.
Test the Alternator once the engine is running, by measuring the voltage at the chassis battery terminals. It should be about 13.5 dcv if the alternator is charging the batteries as designed.
My lady in the box says "alternator failure" whenever the engine is stopped unexpectedly. It seldom is the alternator problem.
