12k Generator

We have a 2003 Magna 6253 with a Onan 12k Generator. I was checking the oil and coolant and did not see a battery. Does it use my chassis battery on the coach to start?? Vic 2003 magna 6253

Yes. It is possible for it to have it's own battery but mine uses the chassis battery.

Mine starts does not have it own battery, It uses the the chassis battery and I believe it will also start off of the house battery?? but am not sure. Next time I am at the coach in storage, I will attempt to start it with the chassis battery turned off, as you now have my curiosity up.
How many hours do you have on your generator?? and hours on the coach? and Miles on your coach?? just curious if you don't mind sharing
