Yuma RV Park

Good Morning Group:

I am looking for an easy in and out for a one-night stay in Yuma AZ or El Centro CA.

A few months ago someone on this site recommended a new Yuma RV park.  I have searched this site without luck.  Also, I thought I saved it in my files and cannot find it.

Those of you who know the Yuma area, what would your recommendations be?  We would rather not dry camp at the casino which was recommended in earlier posts.

Try the Escapee Park in Yuma. I use the Escapee park system and it has always been good:

The newest park in Yuma is the Palms of E 7th. Beautiful, not far of I-8. www.palmsrvresort.com

Shirley,

In Yuma, we stay at Shangri-La RV Resort for easy in and out one nighters. A little close to fwy. so it's noisy unless you can get a site at the back.
In El Centro, the easy one is Desert Trails for short stays. Long term, we prefer Sunbeam Lake, a few miles west of El Centro.

Hope one of these works for you.

Jim Barber, who wishes he was at one of those spots instead of Denver, where it's cold and getting ready to snow again.

Jock, in a previous message you mentioned you had the ice maker water line reconnected. How did the tech get to the back of the refrigerator to hook everything up?

Thanks, Gary

Gary,

The plastic line inside the outside access area cracked. It had cracked several time before. The tech replaced the line from the turn off switch under the refer through the floor to the connection at the valve in the outside compartment. The shut of valve is behind the drawers below the refer.

Jock, thanks, what I am trying  to understand is how the tech got behind the frig to do the work. In my case (05 Magna) there is a small access panel to allow reaching the water inlet valve. The ice maker end of the water line is at the top opposite side of the frig, No way to access that connection from that side since there is a sliding door and shower there. I am thinking the whole cabinet  back panel on the water inlet side must be removed to gain workable access to the back of the frig. I would like to have confirmation that is the way to go.

Gary, He did everything from under the refer and from the outside. There is a line from under the refer up to the ice maker that would require moving the refer out to reach the upper part. We did not replace that part.
