Does anyone know if MotoSat is back in business or how they support there software for their satellite systems?

Last I heard they were not longer in business; I switched to RF Mogul last February; they may help out with Motostat in order to get your business. I actually liked their controller much better with more consistent results. They are great with technical support as well.

Attended FMCA Western Rally in Indio, Ca last week and inquired about any updates to MotoSat.  I was told that Mogul does have a new controller that is compatible.  The controller cost $900 and with installation will total about $1400 (about 1/2 the cost of a new system).  I guess you would still run the chance that something could still go wrong with the MotoSat dish and it components.

Ken

RF Mogul does sell a controller for MotoSat and I thought that they were also doing repairs. As fall as the other components for MotoSat I would think there is a lot of used components from people that switched from MotoSat when they started having problems.

Ken, I dumped my Motosat and self-installed Winegard SWM Trav'ler. It is a far superior unit to my old Motosat. About $1600 delivered from a variety of dealers.

Winegard got this one right.

I'm gonna get the Trav'ler WM3 when we get back to Tucson. Solid Signal has them for $1569, no tax and free shipping. A few weeks ago, I was looking and thought I found one for $1399 (out the door) but can't seem to find it now. Gonna keep looking.

When in Yuma, AZ, last winter, I priced the Winegard, installed after removing my current Motosat, for $2400.  All in all, not bad if you aren't handy enough in the installation process to do it yourself.

Has anyone tried the Wingard portable system>  It seems to be running around 4 to 5 hundred bucks.

Yes, we have the portable Wingard and it works great.  We use it with out 23' Flying Cloud Airstream and pickup truck Lance camper.  The 2010 Airstream is for sale.
