Mounting a Spare Tire

Greetings,

I want to take a spare tire with me on my 8,000 mile convoy road trip next year. My 1998 32' CC is light up front so I plan to mount the spare tire (and rim) on the front of the RV just for this trip. This will require building (welding) a mount.

I will use two hitch receivers for the mounting bracket so when I am not on a long convoy, I can remove the tire and mounting hardware. The only permanent part of the mounting system will be the two 2X2 open hitch receivers that will be welded to the frame. Has anyone mounted a spare tire on the front of your CC?
