Regarding Protect A Tow

First.. I do not have "Protect A Tow", I have the Blue OX System now.
But I need to show what doesn't work.  I  "Assumed" that because my mudflap was between 1/2" to 1" off the ground, how would any rocks be able to bounce or even get near the windshield.  Please look at the 2 attached pictures and you will see that without some type of additional defector your vehicle will be subject to rock damage. When we got back from our trip... the insurance company estimate the damage to the vehicle at $8,800.

I know each situation is different, each vehicle and coach are different, but I would highly recommend an additional defector.

Some of us think that it is best to keep your mudflap as high off the ground as possible because a low mudflap kicks up more rocks and gravel than one four to six inches off the road.

At this point I'm unsure if I could get the mudflap up additional 4 to 6 inches.
With the chrome CC outline on it, I guess I could get a couple inches from the top and a couple more from the bottom.  Not sure how it would look if I did that.

Because it attached to the MH with 2 hinges, sometime when we park and lower the coach. the mudflap does not to bend with the hinges.  It has a couple of tweaks in it and it appears I will probably take if off, to see if I can get these tweaks straightened out.

I had Dura Flap in Oregon make me a new hanger with chains and a cut down rubber backing to allow me to raise the flap to about 4 inches above the ground.
