Power issues

I'm plunged into 50A service and only have 30A on my meter in the hall. If the power gets over loaded it shuts down the water heater, washer dyer and so on. I believe the shuting down is correct but does anyone have any idea why I only have 30A. I cked the plug and have 120 volt on both legs and the surge protector reads power to both sides.

What voltage do you see when you measure between both hot legs? Should be 240 if wired correctly.

If L1 and L2 are in phase, meaning the voltage across them is 0 then the  load device will think you are on 30 amp. Measure the voltage across L1 and L2,  it should be 240.

Check your Main circuit breaker. Could have one leg of it dead. Not likely but it would be something I wold check if I was plugged into 50 amp and was only getting 30 amps inside the coach.
