Retracting steps/aren't . . .

Just after I was thrilled two others problems were quickly solved (gas and slide), I went out to our RV and found our own issue.
 The steps have been retracted for about 2 months. I open the door, steps extended just fine. Closed the door and they retracted about 80% then stopped with a load noise coming from the motor (I assume trying hard to retract the other 20%). I quickly opened the door again and they fully extended. Closed again and the same thing happened, so it is not a momentary problem. I have scanned every inch of the mechanism, levers and all and lubricated anything that moved. There does not appear to be binding anywhere. Is it possible there is something stuck in the motor itself? A gear stripped?
 On a second note, does anyone know the circuit breaker number for the steps?  I suspect it is in the bay under the driver's seat. I'd like to disable it at my 80% before taking it for repair

One to try to see if load related or gear is lift up lightly  on bottom step as it is going up. Keep fingers out from between steps or rails  on side. If it goes all the way up with a little help then bad ground or power  connection. If it makes noise when it gets to 80% and you feel clunking in the  step probably a tooth or more broken in the motor.

In my case that means the step rails need to be lubricated.  After I lubricate them with Lubriplate I cycle the steps three or more times and all is well.  Seems like I have to lubricate the steps every other year.  As I just remember your steps are the drop and extend type, which are different than mine.  But I bet lubrication might work for you, too.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731
