TV in bedroom

We have a country coach allure 33 foot seaside. We purchased the coach in November. We have a TV in the bedroom. It has a hinge. I know it opens. There is a gold button (probably a lock/unlock button). So, which was is locked and which way is unlocked? We have tried and tried to open it with the button in both positions. Is there some technique to get the darn thing to swing open?

We have the same floor plan as you.  Our TV has a round button that you push and it pops out, then you turn it to the left while you pull open the door. A bit tricky til you get the hang of it.  They use the same latches in yachts.

This is unless someone changed the latch.  Warning:  the latch isn't that secure.  I read a post awhile ago that said the owners of a coach with the same TV and latch were driving on a bumpy road and they heard a loud crash and the TV door came open, the TV fell onto the bed and then bounced and broke the sliding mirror doors.  Once we read that we secured ours better.

If you're interested, provide your email address and I'll send you photos of our latch and our fix.

You gotta TURN the button (clockwise, IIRC) after you press it in to release the lock that holds into place the swing-out TV.
