GFCI receptacle replacement

I recently replaced a GFCI receptacle in my coach with a Pass & Seymour 2095 GFCI receptacle. When powered by the (Xantrex/Trace/Invertrex) RV2012 inverter the outlet produces a mild buzzing sound. When powered by the generator or shore power it is silent.
 The Pass and Seymour unit I installed is a model Xantrex has tested in the past and supposedly passes their tests for compatibility with their inverters. I've tried two different unis and both produce the buzzing noise.
 Q1: Is the buzzing noise indicative of a real problem or just an annoyance?
 Q2: Have other group members had problems replacing their GFCI receptacle with this (or other GFCI) units?

Q3: Are there other brands that might work better?
 I'm in Junction City for some other coach repairs and upgrades and will have the GFCI problem investigated next week. I'd just like to know others' experience with GFCI receptacle replacement.
 FYI: The GFCI standard (UL 943) has evolved over the past few years and will be changing again 6/29/2015. New units must have auto-monitoring or self-testing and additional mis-wiring protection.

Hi Tom,

I would say the Pass & Seymour does not like a modified sine wave and you are getting some AC hum. How about trying a Leviton with the same value? I have replaced a few GFCI's with the Leviton and have not experienced the hum. I suggest making your purchase at an electrical supply house versus the home improvement chains.(my opinion)

I replaced my GFCI with a 20 amp Leviton and have no problems with my Heart Freedom 2500 watt MSW inverter.

Fred and Pete,

Thanks for your replies. I installed a SecurE DG20 (20 amp) GFCI receptacle and it seems to be working well with the MSW inverter. The box says it meets UL943 (2008) requirements.
