Door latch 99 Allure

The door handle on the inside started only returning half way up.  From the inside, took the 2 long screws out and pulled the inside plate, with handle, off. Saw the problem, there are 2 springs that make it work, one was missing and the other deformed.  Took that spring out and headed to the local ACE store [ my children call it Daddy Day Care].  Found the correct  spring, and now the fun begins.  Small springs and I do not get along very well, so have come up with a solution.  I take a piece of string about a foot long, tie one end to the middle of the spring, make a loop on the other end and put a finger through it.  Sure enough, both springs went flying, but there they dangled.  Lubricated the inner works and put it back together, works like new.
