Inverter Tripping Off

Yahoo Message Number: 101302
We usually drive with our inverter turned on since there has never been a reason to turn it off while driving. It powers our computer and runs other things on AC while driving. Recently it has been tripping off whenever we'd hit a big bump and lately it has been tripping off with little to no bumping at all. So whatever the problem is, it is apparently getting worse. This is a 2002 Intrigue which we acquired in 2004 and it had already been retrofitted with the newer Trace Inverter Model RV2012GS-15/20B and the control panel above the entry door contains the RC7GS Remote Control. (We have never used the auto generator start mode). The system has worked flawlessly for the 11 years that we have owned the coach. Any comments or suggestions? We're about to take the ferry to Newfoundland and I'd hate to be very remote and not have an inverter since we primarily boondock with our oversized battery bank and solar array. Thanks.

Steve, You have probably tried the obvious but in case you haven't--reset everything. Start at the inverter and reset it. I'm not familiar with the Trace but I expect it has a reset button. Then reset everything at your RC7GS. Check all wire connections. You may have an inline blade fuse in the battery bay so check it for good connections. Another thing to consider is the battery temp module, if you have one, as it may trigger an inverter off condition if the batteries get too hot. How good are your batteries? What is the charge rate showing on your RC7GS when the inverter trips off? Trying all of this with no luck begins to sound like a printed circuit board failure in the Trace. These ideas may not help much but it may trigger your mind to think of something else. Good luck.

Hello, I have two inverters that I want to sale; they are a set from a 2007 Magna. If you need a set please let me know.  Also, I have a Good Year 670 RV tire, size 22.5; only driven 20 miles on the tire. If anyone is interested.

Steve if you don't find the reset button on the invertor or it is too hard to get to as mine is, just disconnect the main( the biggest one) negative battery cable for 15 minutes to reset the invertor.
