Replace backup camera

My backup camera is old and barely useable. I have contacted the manufacture and found out it can not be repaired. All new cameras will have to be mounted on a u shaped bracket that is rather unsightly. Has anyone dealt with this problem? Fritz 1998 Allure 30223
