We've used the M&G system (w/breakaway option) on our last two toads ('95 Rav4 and '10 CRV). The system has worked flawlessly for several years now and we are very happy with it. Hookup (or disconnect) takes about 30 seconds; requires no adjustment or maintenance once installed.
The M&G Engineering web site lists vehicle compatibility and installation labor estimates (http://www.m-gengineering.com/Compatibility.html) and a list of dealers/installers (http://www.m-gengineering.com/Dealerlist.html).

I'd recommend professional installation for most people.

Another vote for the M & G system. I had another system picked out and the guy installing my wiring for toad lights highly recommend that I change my mind and get the M & G.

I'll second the SMI. I have the Air Force One, which uses the same concept as the M&G (air activated), only better technology (IMO) with their venturi vacuum system that activates the advantage of the power brake system on the towed. Plus it comes standard with the emergency brake away system. It's easy to hook up and invisible to the casual observer.

We use the Air Force One system, I believe by the same company as M&G.
The beauty of this system is when you change toads, the unit can be transferred to the new one. We have used this system since 2007 and have no complaints whatsoever with it. This also works off the air brakes of the coach. Ours was installed by Henderson Line-Up in Grants Pass, Oregonl.

I had one.

They work great. Can be a bear to install on the master cylinder of the toad.
Does not fit all cars.

I now use the ROADMASTER system tied to my air breaks.

I have over 120,000 miles of towing on our Jeep GC using the M&G system. I have yet to have any problems with it.
The only downside to the M&G is that you cannot transfer it to another toad easily. M&G does have a trade in program to assist you in toad transfer.

Excellent system in my book.

I have the M&G system on a GMC Duramax Diesel and a Jeep Liberty. It works very well and is easy to hook up. No jerking at all, you can't even feel it work because it is all coordinated just like a semi truck and trailer. If you are mechanically inclined it is not too difficult to install. I installed both myself and two more for friends.
As mentioned in a previous post they won't fit every application so give them a call at M&G and they will tell you if it will work for you. If so you will be happy with this product.
