How to email a poster

Yahoo Message Number: 103289
I have been looking for a way to send an email to someone (kimbonick) who posted a message but cannot find a way.  I access the forum on the web.  Advice appreciated.  My email is lylewet@...' Lyle Wetherholt

THANK YOU FOR ASKING.  I believe every message posted to the group should convey some useful information to the group.  Every message should be STAND ALONE, as the Daily Digest, which most of the people use, only shows the current message, not the message thread. Be careful with the word "IT" as in "Thank you.  I will replace IT tomorrow" doesn't help anyone.  Use REPLY TO SENDER for Thank You's, unless you are  including the Thank You in your final "problem description with resolution summary that fixed the problem".

Here is a brief summary from a Google search page,  It is in the paragraph below just in case the full article and graphics does not render properly in your viewing method (daily digest, individual messages or web) for this message.:

Yahoo! has updated the reply box on the web interface of the Group. This does not affect those of you who reply via email/ digest.
Here is a step by step guide on how to reply to the individual sender via the web interface with this new update.
If you want to reply privately, you'll need to follow below steps:
1. On the group Page click on "CONVERSATIONS"
2. view the posts as  "MESSAGES"
3. Find the message you want to reply to in the in the "MESSAGES" list
4. Open the message up and click the purple "REPLY" Button which will open up the reply window  stepwithtext
5. Click the two downwards arrows on the far left of the reply box to expand headers. This will reveal a drop down menu from which you can select the recipient of your reply.

Herb, thank you for the info on how to send an email to a poster but: when I click the "purple reply" button the reply page comes up but there are not "double down arrows" to the far left.  In fact if I try to write a reply in the blank box nothing happens, i.e. it will not accept any typing. So I cannot even respond to the thread topic.  Interestingly when I click "new topic" then the page shown in your example comes up with all the icons and double down arrows.  I use the web to access the forum rather than the digest.
