Webasto and inside fans

Yahoo Message Number: 103986
Hi,

We have 1989 40' Country Coach with a DD 8V92. The Webasto hydronic heat circulates well but the problem is the internal fans will not come on. By design they are not supposed to until the circulating water/glycol reaches a warm/hot temperature but the circulating pipes all get very warm.
I have checked all the relays, circuit breakers, diodes, etc. but to no avail. My next hope is too locate the thermostat that prevents the fans from coming on. The only problem is that I do not know where it is!
Additionally I have run many searches for diagrams or prior experience and even emailed Country Coach but they were little if no help for an older bus.
Any thoughts or suggestions, especially on the thermostat location, would be appreciated.

Kent

My 2000 Magna doesn't have this feature but if you have a surge tank I would look for the thermostat there.  To me it seems the best place to put the thermostat.

Good luck

Thanks for suggestion.  I had located the thermostat in the very front on top of a heat exchanger.  It does work okay.  There is probably a relay upstream from that which is what I am searching for now.

I've got one of these wire tracers. Triplett Fox & Hound Jr 3375 Compact Wire and Cable Tracing Kit with Tone...

I've used it several times to chase wires around my coach. Could attach it to a wire on the t-stat and chase it to the relay.

Problem solved! The thermostat switch was located under the wardrobe floor. Jumper'ed around it and the fans took off. A great help was the wire tracer as per pfhays suggestion which I picked up at Lowes. It worked extraordinarily well.

Thanks to all for their suggestions.
