Allison 3000 series filters

I see various adds and comments about Allison's "Gold Series" of filters for this tranny. Is this just a name for their "Joe avg" filters..?? or is this a better series that they carry and use...or ?? Confusing to say the least.

Any help appreciated.

I believe the Allison factory distributorship shops are now only providing the "Gold Series" filters.
