95 Magna slight power loss after hard bump

Yahoo Message Number: 105909
Before I open my wallet for a mechanic I wanted to get some feedback from the pros in this group.

After hitting a hard sharp bump I feel like my coach (95 Magna with Cummins 350hp with banks kit) is down about 10% in power. It just doesn't climb grades like it used to, though still produces the same 29 psi at full boost. Any thoughts on what to look at? The fuel filters are less than a year old, changed when I got the coach with about 3000 miles on them, 86000 miles on coach. No other driveability issues.

Thanks in advance!
Loran

Change the fuel filters. It is the cheapest and most likely thing suspect.

Why do you feed the coach is down 10% in power? What are the symptoms

Could be a cracked injector, symptom is longer crank times on starting say 15 to 20 seconds.

First step with loss of power is replace fuel filters.

Thanks for the thoughts. No other symptoms other than slightly less peppy in town and up a steep grade (Cajon Pass I-15N out of Los Angeles) max out at 45 where before could do 55 even with more weight.

I think I have spare fuel filters so I'll start there.

Considering your story of a 'Hard Sharp Bump', perhaps something came loose on the Charge air cooler, or worse, a crack developed. I do hope you have luck with the filters.
