BEST TV AIR ANTENNA

Yahoo Message Number: 106120
Please give me advice. I have never been happy with my air antenna reception. I can usually "source" 30+ Air channels but the signal frequently fails or breaks. First, I had a standard "crank up" antenna. Wasn't happy so a Tech recommended a Jake antenna. Still not very good. Another tech said what I needed was a Wineguard "Omni-Directional" flying saucer shaped antenna. That antenna is WORSE than the Jake in my opinion. Now, I'm considering a Wineguard Rayzor Antenna that automatically searches for the best signal.
Of course, I have A Directv in motion KVH SATELLITE system but I get only east coast ABC, CBS etc. That is a long story. Cable is OK but most of the campgrounds I visit either don't have cable or it is terrible. What is the solution?? Thanks, D Jean

IMO, for best OTA signal, Winegard Sensar IV. (You did not mention the age of your coach. Or if the old crank was removed for the 'Star Ship Enterprise' looking omni antenna. But, if you crank antenna is still on the roof, you might be able to upgrade it with a Sensar IV antenna head. (Might, being the key word.)

I have both a Winegard Sensar IV and the Winegard Auto RAZYR you mentioned. They're set up in A/B mode.

I find that 95% + of the time that the Auto RAZYR pulls in all the signals we want. But this could have been just the luck pf the places we've stopped. It is not inexpensive, but it is KISS as far as usage.

Best of luck to you on your decision,

Smitty
