Bryce Canyon to Williams, AZ

Bryce Canyon to Williams, AZ

We are going to Bryce Canyon next week for several days. When we leave we will be heading back to Dallas, TX. Studying Streets & Trips indicates that US 89 to US 89T to US 89 is the best route back to I-40. Is this the best or am I making a mistake to go that way. Some 7 or 8 years ago I travelled US 89 to US 89A to US 89 - BIG MISTAKE!
