Dry Camping

Geri and I are dry camping for approximately three weeks here in Key West, waiting for our full hookup site. And ... thanks to our Intrigue's good size holding tanks (100w/71g/63b gal) ... we're getting at least a week between dump/fills, which is great. I probably could extend a day or two, but what the heck. It's a lot better than my buddy's old 40' Monaco Windsor, whose black or grey tank was only 40 gallons!
And all systems are working well, except for the previously mentioned air leveling system. But, since the sites are essentially level, it's no problem.

We apparently have the only CC here, and our friends were shocked when they saw it. And now that they've received "the tour" ... they appreciate CC's quality. We know that *we* love it.

Rick and I were just in Key West for the week, got home to Panama City on Wednesday. We were at Trumbo Point. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet.

Full hook-ups is our preference for staying anywhere more than a day or two, particularly in cold weather. That being said, when traveling across country we will on stay in a pay campground every 3rd or 4th night, we find Wal Marts and Casinos are the best overnighters, though they can cost more than a campground when you finish shopping :-)
When we have a booth at some of the big rallies, often the best we can get in the vendor area is electric only.
One trick we use to make the gray tank last longer is to place a large bowl in the shower, then catch the cold water that you waste waiting for the water to get hot, plus some of the water that falls into the bowl while showering. We turn off the toilet water supply and used the saved water for flushing. We also use the water from washing dishes the same way.
