1995 CC Affinity Dead Electrical system Please Help

I keep my coach plugged into a 30 amp outlet, yesterday I drove it about 25 miles and installed a tire minder kit. When I went into the coach this evening nothing would turn on except the generator. However nothing would power up with the generator running, I left the generator about 10 min with no results. I checked the main circuit breaker panel with no issues but i did recycle all of them. I looked every where for a GFCI and couldn't find one. I can't access the battery bay or the electrical bay because the coach is to close to the wall. I have a 60hp 4wd tractor that would most likely pull the coach out but the front wheels are turned hard to the left so as to have more room to open the door. The coach only needs to move 3 feet to access the battery and electrical bay but the steering would need be turned hard to the right

I've owned this wonderful coach just a little over a month this being my first RV I have been learning everyday, but I'm up the creek with out a paddle on this one. I will be most thankful for any Help.

Is there a bucket or fork on the tractor that could lift the front weight enough to steer the wheels straight? Also, is there enough air pressure to release the air brakes as it may be difficult to pull if the air pressure has dropped and the rear brakes are locked on full. Hopefully, others will chime in.

You should have a boost switch on the dash. Since the gen starts try holding down the swi8a few seconds, so the relay latches. Then try to start the engine. As John pointed out no air pressure no move.

it sounds like the 15 amp breaker on your inverter has tripped.

Ok the service stop switch is ok, I tried the boost with no luck, I was able to release the parking brake, I can't get the inverter without moving the coach about two feet. It's beginning to look like a tow truck.

You have a fine coach - getting to know it a little better will take a little time.

I've had several electrical issues over the last 15 year with my coach. The one you are describing in my case occurred when I used the boost switch on the left side of the drivers seat. Apparently my engine/house batteries were so dead that the current draw blew the main fuse in the battery compartment when I activated this switch. This is the fuse that is covered with a plastic shield that is on top by the door of the compartment. (This is easy to test). The symptoms that I had are what you are describing - no power anywhere! No 12V, no inverter, I couldn't even open the generator compartment because the locking switch is electrically operated.

Well here is an idea. If this were me I would attach a normal 12v battery to a terminal that is supplied by the house batteries. For example: If you can open the front bay under the drivers seat there is the pump for the slide. On this pump is a large battery cable that goes to the batteries. If you put 12v positive to this terminal and ground the battery to the frame you will supply 12 volts of power to the circuit that is not working. I would suggest making a test lead with clamps out of 10 guage wire of thicker and putting a 30 amp fuse to be safe. This should allow you to start coach and pull it out side to work on it. A tractor battery should suffice because all you are doing is powering the normal circuitry and the chassis battery is doing the starting. Fuse it for safety and all should be good.

You could try a jumper cable from the house batteries to the chassis batteries to start the engine.

What may have happened is the class T fuse blew in the battery compartment preventing the house batteries from passing electricity anywhere along the house circuit. They might be still fully charged. Use a voltmeter to find out.

Concurrently, it is likely the chassis batteries died over the 30 days because they are NOT charged by shore power or generator power and you likely did not use the chassis battery disconnect in the battery compartment. (You can install a Trik-L-Start device for $30 to change this situation.)

The jumper cable between chassis and house battery positive terminals could start the engine.

On my 1995 Magna, there are two 300A Class T fuses between the inverter and the house batteries.

One in the battery compartment and one in the house fuses compartment forward of and accessed through the front basement passenger side.

If the one in the battery compartment fails, the house batteries will pass no juice to anywhere on the wired circuits or receive any charge via the generator.

Finally, if the house batteries are dead, you will need about 4 hours of generator operation to try to revive them.

Otherwise, you could put a dedicated charger on the house or chassis battery terminals. If you can get into the rig from the entry door, you should be able to access the battery compartment.
