Have a 05 37ft allure. Love it! Check general maintenance. Have it looked at by an expert.
Good luck.

Tire DOT date. Batteries. Maintenance records. Oil analysis. Test all systems to ensure they work.

Private party or dealer?

We have a 2006 Inspire 360. Tire DOT info for age is important. Ours were a year old when we bought. What I did not see was the cracking on the bushings on the chasis. We had to replace all of ours and needed Kevin Waites help in getting the correct ones. We are still figuring out all the electronic entertainment and I wish I'd spent more time with the seller on that subject.

Things we missed because we could not see them: Broken thermostat on the C9 triggered an engine warning light on our first trip. Dash air was weak and failed in Arizona and had to be fixed on first trip. Shear pins on 3 slides broke because they were not correct ones. (Get some from CC or K. Waite and know how to change them. We replaced 3 before we got it right. (hint: correct pins minimize play. Do not toggle the slide off and on or change direction in mid flight as it causes wear on holes in shaft the pin goes through and makes a break more likely. We have had no problems once we got this straight.) Have Cat run the error codes on the engine and know what you are dealing with. Apparently there are software versions that only Cat has (so I am told). The dual tires were a bitch to check and to add air. We went to an after market source in Southern California for valve extensions and it has worked well.(Can't recall the name but someone here will know.) The inside piece of the valves that screws out tends to corrode and can stick open when you check the air. We always role into a good commercial tire shop and ask them to check our air. In the 18000 miles we've put on our unit we have had 4 stick when the pros check the air and they just replace those. Never been charged for this. We always carry spares. The Allison Trans Tech (confirmed by CAT mechanic) told me to "work off the back of the transmission" i.e. down shift on grades to keep rpms up and the engine cooler. Transmission heat going over 230 for short periods is within normal limits per them. Don't be concerned with C9 rpms at 2200 or 2300 rpms when doing this. We've found following their transmission advice eliminated heating issues. Wish you well on your purchase. We are enjoying ours and consider it well worth the money we spent!

Kenny,

I have a 2005 CC Siena 36'. My coach has been very reliable with few issues.
The radiator, pto, fogged windows, batteries, tires, shocks and updates have been my greatest expenses.
I believe how the coach has been maintained in the past is the most critical issue.
If you buy this coach I would be happy to give you details on all I've done to mine.
I just returned from a 4800 mile two month trip without encountering any issues.

Ellen,

I have experienced the same issues with my 2005 Inspire as RJ. Very few issues, all minor and easy to fix.

Good Luck.
