Help with cigar lighter?

Yahoo Message Number: 108420
Hi all

Our cigar lighter plug in in the coach is not working. I've tried finding a fuse to correlate with it, but the only thing I can find in the massive CC book is that it is in the domestic fuse panel. But of course, it's not listed on the panel labels.

Really want to get this thing working for a long trip where I can plug in my phone charger.

Anyone have any ideas?

Mine may be different on my 2000 Magna, but it is wire #71 and it is a fuse on the Front Run Board and not on the domestic fuse panel. It is fused at 20 amps.

I've never even used that plug. Why not one of your 110 plugs like you do at home?

The outlets don't operate while driving, AFAIK. My smart phone is such a battery hog when using GPS. On an 8-9 hour travel day, it pretty much taps the phone! Ellen in Snohomish

Run your inverter while driving and your outlets will be hot. I do that to run my computer that I use for Silverleaf's VMSpc program. The engine alternator will keep the house batteries charged.

Thank you to the suggestions for using the inverter on my coach. I knew I was missing something simple...:)
