Water pressure in shower

Yahoo Message Number: 108427
I have an 05 Inspire. The water pressure in the shower has been getting worse to the point its barely useful. It's not the pump as other faucets are fine. Also not the head itself, if i remove the shower head, the flow through the hose is bad.
Any particular suggestions on what to check next and how yo access it? Thanks

Is pressure/volume low on both hot and cold? Have you taken shower hose apart at the valve?

Mine had a back flow preventer check valve inline with the hose. I removed it and it cured the problem. Also my AQUAHOT system seems to produce lots of mineral flakes that keep clogging my faucet screens. Kevin Waites mechanic cleaned a whole cup of grude out of my AQUAHOT.

On ours there's a filter screen at the beginning of the hose to the shower head. Also, I adjusted both our pump pressure regulator and the external pressure regulator to 52 lbs and cleaned all screens and changed the whole house filter - we now have a very nice shower... I also replaced the hand held held shower head with a new high quality handheld shower head...

I have an 05 Magna. Turns out I have an electric water heater that augments the hydro hot. It builds up sediment and has plugged my system up twice. I've had it repaired and flushed through a warranty program I purchased. The heater is located under the washer/dryer.

I had the same problem on my 06 Inspire before I sold it. After checking screens and changing filters, I got 2 gallons of vinegar and hooked up a hose to have the water pump suck the vinegar and fill all the lines by opening each valve until i smelled vinegar. Let that sit four 4 to 5 hours and things were better.
Good luck.

Your water filter could be bad .I would change it if has not been changed recently. After all, they only have like a three mo lifespan. If yours is GE, you can find the parts at Home Depot.
