Front windshield sun shades

We have a 2008 Intrigue. The front black see through curtain has broken. We are wondering if any of you have used something else besides what CC put up there. Any one have MCD shades and how do you like them? Does anyone know of a coating you can put on the inside of the windshield that blocked the sun and people cannot see through during the day? We need to do something up front and looking for suggestions. Thanks.

I had the MCD shades installed on my cockpit windows & windshield, and feel that it was one of the best upgrades I have made. The power shades for the windshield make shading your eyes while driving child's play. And the privacy they allow while parked is superb. No complaints - these are excellent products! We replaced our old curtain on our 2005 Intrigue with MCD shades two years ago and have been very happy with them. We still occasionally use the snap on outer black mesh cover we had made in 2006 when the front of the coach is in the sun in hot weather but generally the MCD does the job.

We have MCD shades and like them. We had them installed by MCD in Texas.

Either MCD or Automotion will give you the different privacy levels you're looking for from the inside. Partial with he day time shade, and privacy with the black out. The 'partial' is 95%+ with the day time shade during, well the day time. At night, the partial is probably less then 10%, with inside lights on:)!

But in addition to different levels of privacy, heat gain avoidance, and to some extent heat lossage, are also part of the two inside shades.

They both help at differing levels on trapping heat gain towards the outside of the screens. And the night time privacy does seem to help retain heat over the night time.

That being said, having a window shade covering from the outside, remains the best method of reducing heat gain overall. (And, it also helps a bit on the heat loss overnight.) I was surprised that darker colors, are better then lighter colors, on helping in the reduction of Heat Gain.

Magna Shade is one of the easiest to install, and they're very proud of them pricing wise:)! The snap on shades work well too, and are a bit less expensive, but do require the ladder to install/remove.

Best of luck to you,

Smitty
