Transfer Switch

Quick question:
Is it normal for the transfer switch to have a small hum? Last night while in bed and no A/C or anything running (very quiet) I realized there was a faint humming from the switch which is located in a tiny compartment above the bed and behind the breaker panel. Maybe it's always done that and I just am now noticing it....everything seems to be operating normally. I am currently hooked up to 50 amp shore power at an RV Resort. Thanks!

Hi Steve, Ours also hums when hooked up to a park pedistall. Sometimes when the weather turns cooler its more noticeable. Definitely from the transfer switch, inverter on or off.

Does it hum because it doesn't know the words? Sorry, couldn't resist
