Attempted to extend slide to investigate a hydraulic drip under slide and as I was holding down the extend button, I failed to notice, front end of slide extended but rear end did not resulting in the slide be in a total bind and refuses to move. :( what in the world to do to get this in bound?? 99 Magna 36' one slide. Thanks for anyone's help. J.t. Shealy, Florida.

We had a similar problem with the front DS slide on our '01 36' Intrigue 3 years ago. We finally went to HWH in eastern Iowa for a replacement of one of the hoses which was leaking and throwing the cylinders out of sync. You might put a call in to HWH for some advice.

We had same problem with our 99 Intrigue. Called HWH for info. They said to remove a plunger from inside the solinoid (sp, ck with them first), that will release the pressure on the system. Then you should be able to manually push, pull with the winch. It took a bit of work. Slide would move in then wedge itself. I had to go inside square the slide with the hole in wall, then push/pull until it was seated. Turned out to be simple, but plunger needed removing before we could move the slide. Good luck.

I'm not sure how similar your Magna is to our 05 Inspire, so with that in mind.

On ours, the slide motor operates a rotating rod that in turn is attached at each end to a squared off tube. The connection is by a roughly 1/4" pin. If that pin shears at either end, operating the motor will only retract or extend one end, allowing the whole deal to get in a bind.

One thing I've done to release the bind involves a couple people.and is an effort to manually move one end of the slide to release the bind.  Lets say you want the rear portion of the slide to come in, to match the front portion which is already stuck in because of the sheared pin. I'll have someone operate the slide button to move it in. At the same time, I'll push hard on the front portion, trying to push it out. It will move a couple inches at a time. Eventually I can get them evened up, reinstall a new shear pin, and move the whole thing.

you can also use a decent size crescent wrench to turn the squared off tube. If you can rotate that, you can move the slide end that is stuck, and gradually equalize them. If you can get to where you can see the two ends of the slide mechanism, its not that complicated.

Now if you have hydraulic system forget everything I just said.

My gallery slide has been a problem as it will bind half way in. I send it back out then I go outside and push while my wife holds the switch. It works.
