Mine is an '02 Intrigue 36', and yes, the winch is carried loose in one of the bays... no provisions to secure it for storage.

If your living room slide is a Power Gear electric slide, you need a 12" adjustable end wrench (not included in your rig). The slide is retracted by turning the 1" square drive shaft with the wrench. I had to do this last year, and found it was very easy, after I went to NAPA and got a big enough wrench! To lock it in place, I had to wedge the wrench under the floor (ceiling of the basement compartment) and tie the wrench in place with parachute cord so it couldn't come loose. That held the slide in place for the 500 mile trip to Fountain RV in Lakeland FL, where the broken drive motor gearbox was replaced.

Had similar experience with pot metal gear box drive disintergrating. Used large "C" clamp to hold the shaft.

Are you seriously still looking for a young girl or prostitute to pull your slides in?! If you could locate a winch, it would work much better.

If you have the correct winch it mounts to the table steel brace that attaches to the wall and angles up to support the frame to which the table top is attached. Then you release the pressure on the control solenoid that controls the slide to retract and crank the the slide in. If on the other hand the slide wants to creep out, then you release the pressure on the other solenoid and crank the slide in. Been there done that. The thing that had me going was after cycling the slide room for about 10 times it started working perfectly again. Maybe that was beginners luck. Anything to make travel an adventure. Thomas is right, the same thing happened to us about a week ago. One of the bedroom slides kept creeping out as we were preparing to leave camp. We would bring it in, turn our backs, and out it would creep. There had been a big temperature change overnight, and I thought perhaps there was an air bubble in the system, so we just cycled the two bedroom slides in and out 3 times, and that fixed it, no more creep. It has been fine now for a week. Sure beats unloading the basement to find the winch and playing Waldo to find the big eye bolts in the rooms...

Also, I know my hydraulic fluid level is fine, as before we left on the trip, I configured the rooms in/out in correct configuration (per manual) and checked the level, and everything was fine. So I guess air bubbles can get in there even with proper amount of hydraulic fluid in system.

Look for hidden panel, or a piece of cabinet trim Velcro attached, in center of rooms. The eye bolts will be behind that.

Only Affinities in Magnas come with wenches standard. They were an option on the Intrigue. I keep mine in the 3rd Bay, near the inverter compartment where it's warmer in the winter. I do let her up into the bedroom at night when I'm in the mood.

Mine is in the dinette seat facing the rear of the coach. The other wench lets me sit there as well for a while when I'm "good" :) otherwise :( . Back under the dinette seat go I as well.

Rich.........Thanks for the tongue-in-cheek humor. Much needed to relieve the pain and confusion of the blind misuse of words and bad spelling.

I'm sure glad that there are others who can find humor in some of these misteaks. Thank you, Dave.
