Propane Heater NT-34BW won't fire

Yahoo Message Number: 112876
Getting ready for cooler weather, my husband is working on the front propane heater in our '93 Magna. He can't get it to fire. Comes on when thermostat prompts it to. The blower is running. After a short period, you can smell propane. He IDd the heater as a NT-34BW.

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Thanks!

PS, and I have more to the story on the drive shaft issue I posted about a couple of weeks ago. Mystry solved.

Sounds like the igniter is not working? If it doesn't spark, no flame and I believe the unit will shut off the gas. Second option is a bad control board.
I'll dig into my bag of coach docs and see if I have the book on it.

Both of my propane heaters quit working so I had a mobile RV tech check and repair them. In both cases the 25 year old igniters were pretty badly corroded and he replaced them both. They cost around $10-15 each....found them on eBay as well as Amazon. Also replaced the gaskets as well. Working great now, just in time as temp is going down to 30 tonight.

Down to 30 sounds like time to relocate!

Essie was actually able to get the furnace working. He piddled with it, turned the gas back in and darn if it didn't fire off. It's been running fine since. He lucked out and didn't have to pull it out to work on it.

Thanks though!
