LED Conversion

FYI for anyone considering: I am in the process of converting all of our lighting to LED. I've replaced bulbs in the Curb Lights, Rear Lights, Head Lights, Turn Signals, etc. I ordered bulbs from M4 Products. The difficult part was installing Parking/Stop/Tail/Turn Signals which have to be inserted correctly for polarity, otherwise they won't work. Process of elimination flipping them around solved any issues. I ordered LED headlights and Hi Beams and they were easy to install. I ordered the wrong LEDs for the hocky puck ceiling lights and they are exchanging them. There was a flicker due to the intellitec but they assure me that the flicker goes away with the correct lights and once there aren't a mix of Halogen and LED on the same circuit. I'll let you know. Its expensive to replace so many halogens with LED so we are going to wait to do the Sconces and Bathroom Vanity lights. LMK if anyone has any questions.

Good luck getting the dimmable ceiling lights to completely shut off, and not flicker or glow. I used M4 dimmable bulbs as well, but never got it to work, so put back in halogens there. The "lighted" switch allows some current flow, so that causes this problem. Let us know if you get the dimmable circuits to work. All the other lights work perfect with M4 LED's.

Today's dimmer control switches are only designed to dim the bulbs not necessarily shut them off. It may appear that way with certain types of bulbs such ss incandescent but may not with LED bulbs. Most of the dimmer controls include a positive switch action for that purpose.

FYI been there done that! would not recommend putting any of the LEDs in circuits that are on dimmer control for the older multiplexer. Dimmer control will be erratic at best. And stress the multiplexer as it was not designed for LED lighting. Also higher-quality LEDs have diodes for reverse polarity. This is the reason why I only did part of my coach in LED bulbs. Cheap LEDs will Flicker and have a blue cast as well

In our Inspire 360 it's located behind the panel inside the closet at the right rear of the coach, the same location as the washer/dryer utilities. To gain access I have to empty the closet and remove the small screws from the upper panel on the curb side wall. To find yours, try being very quiet and operate a light switch from the opposite end of the coach, you should be able to hear the relay. The sound of the switch panel is similar to the relay.

We have the same coach as you do (#12149) and have replaced all of the interior lights with LED. Our source was a combination of Cabin Bright and M4. Both good companies to work with. We have not done any of the outdoor lighting fixtures except for the porch and dock lights. LED is definitely the way to go for interior lighting -- much cooler and less power consumed.

On my 2000 Magna, I want to replace the headlights with brighter LED headlight bulbs. Does anybody know what the make and model of the headlight assembly is? There are several different bases for headlights that are not the same. Has anybody replace their Magna headlights? Does not look like an easy replacement. With this exception I have replaced all of my lights with LED's

I believe the headlights are from a mid 90's Series 5 BMW.Several years ago started I looking into changing the headlight housing because the lens are scratched. On my 2000 Magna it looks like the headlight housings are bolted to the front "Stainless" trim.I spent some time carefully examining the back of the housing and found tabs welded to the Stainless trim that the housing were bolted to. To me it looked like you would remove the pop rivets in Stainless trim, and remove the trim to access the housing.I am still pondering if I should change them out.

On my 2000 Intrigue, the bulbs came out of the back of the housing. I popped one out to get the part number, put the number in the Amazon search and came up with LED replacement bulbs. Very easy to change if your Magna is like my Intrigue. Now I can actually see the road when driving at night.

I replaced mine last year with 1997 - 2003 BMW 5 series fixtures. Got them on ebay for $130 brand new. Not OEM but very nice update.

On my 2003 Magna the headlights are fastened to a fixture mounted inside to front cap. Had to make myself very small in order get to the work from underneath and through the generator opening. Not at all easy but doable.

I have just replaced all my interior lights with LEDs, I purchased rolls of LEDS, 300 lights to each roll on Amazon from LEDMY dealer. Cheap and very well made. Total cost to replace all my interior overhead lights was around $125. I removed the fluorescent fixtures, drilled out the rivets holding the ballast in and removed all the wiring and mounting connectors for the tube lights then attached four rows of LEDS in each light. I used warm white and am very happy with the results. An easy install.
